Riverside Hotel - Kenilworth

Modern and clean facilities.

Loud noise from corridor doors at night.

Cosy unit with a double bed.

Breakfast with instant coffee.

The location is magnificent, 5 km from a historic house.

Some of the staff were very rude.

The stay was great. Really enjoyed the place, it was upgraded and worked for me. The food was delicious and the location was peaceful. Besides, Crazy Kiln was 6 km away from the property. There were some great restaurants.

The bathroom was a little tired.

The reception staff were thoughtful, asking about my journey and showing me to my room. The cooked breakfast was good, with attentive service checking if I needed anything.

The overall experience was great, but the room could use a bit more attention to detail.

We believed on booking we would have a double room with double bed. Were told on arrival only a twin was available but know of at least one couple who booked and arrived after we did who got a room with a double bed. This affected our comfort at the hotel. The position of our room was above an entrance/exit door to the hotel were people congregated to smoke this meant we could not have the window open ands also affected our comfort within the room.

It was okay but expected better facilities and staff were all foreign and did not relate to ones needs.

Pillows to flat, broken light switch, curtains hanging off rail general appearance of hotel was that as it was weekend and not many staying at hotel that service was carried out by skelton staff and place was not clean to proper standards

Decent Stay with Room for Improvement

Enjoyed a comfortable bed and a clean room . The in-house restaurant offered a cozy ambiance, though I didn't get to dine there. For future guests, make sure to check hot water availability before settling in.

Basic budget hotel Receptionists on checkout were efficient and polite, as were restaurant staff.

Directions provided were confusing - mentioned taking the road to Stafford(?) but presume this meant Stratford! Check-in was chaotic. Receptionist was offhand telling us we had only booked one room, not two, this turned out to be due to being listed under first name rather than surname - but no word of apology! Asked for quiet rooms but room No. 1 was facing busy main road. Hotel definitely due for redecoration/makeover. Think all hotel rooms of this grade should have two chairs as sitting on bed for any length of time is not comfortable or good for back

Having an Ondian Restaurant as part of the hotel was very good

The hotel room we had was very small because the furniture was far to big for the size of the room. Generally very tatty and basic.

The room we were finally upgraded to. Location. Helpful, if scruffy staff.

Dirty tiny room - couldnt get around end of bed as too close to dressing table! Dirty dining room Tired old bacon and eggs - been sitting for hours and inedible. did get fresh ones when asked for them - but still! This hotel is sad and pathetic. Cheap, but thats not the point. Surprised the Ramada group would accept this awful standard

The meal from room service was a super Indian dish, and the friendly staff made our stay enjoyable. the hot water in the shower was a significant disappointment.

The bar staff wer'nt around people were moaning they had to wait 20mins for service for a drink people even joked and asked if it was self service. the rest of the hotel did not look like the picture on the web its been left to get run down . the menue for the resturant wasnt as exciting as we thought so we ate in town . but it a hotel to put your head down over night but i wouldnt reccomend for a young couple break

The air conditioning was efficient; probably because the roomwasso small.

It was grubby,shabby and poorly maintained. Cracked flooring in the lobby and very run down in the hallways.One of our rooms was partially repainted and the carpet had oily black footprints. The rooms I booked were at almost half the rack rate and were still poor value for money.
